I couldn’t do a post on my spicy turkey burgers and not tell you about my guacamole! Click HERE to get my spicy turkey burger recipe. This is a staple in our RV, especially in the summer.
You will need:
4 ripe California Haas Avocados (they should be slightly squishy)
The juice from 1 lime
1 small onion diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 jalapeño diced (if you prefer more spice, use the seeds)
1/2 cup freshlly chopped cilantro
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Half the avocados and scoop the good green innards into a bowl, disposing of the rind and the pit. MAKE SURE TO SAVE ONE OF THE PITS FOR LATER. Add in all the other ingredients and using a fork, mash everything together. We prefer our guac more chunky, but some like it really smooth. Up to you!
Garnish with more cilantro and serve! Oh, and that extra avocado pit you saved, well you can place it in the guacamole and it will prevent it from turning brown. Natural preservative! Serve with tortilla chips, salsa, sour cream, margaritas, corona, put it on tacos, burgers, fajitas, eggs, chicken, salads; the sky is the limit!
