Wisconsin

Where to Rest Your Head

  • A great place to camp in Wisconsin that is still close to all the wonders of Minnesota is Willow River State Park. They have great trails to lead you to water falls and areas for rock climbing.  There are traditional sites as well as full hook up sites.  The older section does not have full hook ups, but does have a dumping station and it is more wooded. There are picnic areas and playgrounds.

  • If you’re heading further North towards Hayward, WI, stay at Grand Pines Resort.  Their cabins on Round Lake are warm and are fully furnished with a kitchen, deck and fireplace.
  • Down in La Crosse, Wi the Pettibone Resort looked great! Although we did not stay there, we attended a wedding and looked around their campgrounds.

Places to Go, Things to Do

  • Just like Minnesota, Wisconsin has many outdoor activities year round.  For fun in the water, head over to the Apple River for some tubing or take the trip to Wisconsin Dells for water park and amusement fun!
